In 2025, a leading global data center operator planned to install an outdoor containerized UPS system at its Johor, Malaysia facility to ensure reliable power for critical operations. The data center serves major technology companies, making stable power supply and high safety standards critical to daily operations.
The goal of the project was to provide reliable backup power for the data center’s critical IT equipment. To free up space inside the building and reduce the risk of a UPS fire affecting internal systems, the client chose an outdoor containerized UPS. This setup keeps the UPS separate from the indoor IT equipment while ensuring safe, reliable, and flexible operation.

To meet the client's needs, Vision Battery provided a UPS lithium battery solution for outdoor containerized UPS systems. 1500 units of TP series UPS lithium batteries are installed in independent outdoor containers, supplying backup power for critical IT operations in the data center.
