The short video and live streaming market in China is growing rapidly, driving massive increases in data volume and computing demand. The client is one of China’s leading video content platforms, with over 900 million daily active users by 2024. As the company expands its adoption of AI and big data technologies, it requires robust infrastructure to process large volumes of data quickly and reliably. To meet these demands, the company built one of the largest AI & Big Data Computing Centers (AIDC) in China.
Customer Challenges & Requirements
To support next-generation AI and big data workloads, this AIDC faces several key challenges in backup power:
1. High Power Demand: CPU and GPU power consumption has increased sharply over the past five years, pushing single-rack power to hundreds of kilowatts.
2. Reliability & Safety: The system must provide uninterrupted power for critical AI workloads, minimize fire risks, and ensure safe operation under extreme conditions.
3. Space Efficiency: High-density computing racks require power solutions that save space and do not occupy too much space in the data center.
4. Sustainability: The solution should support efficient energy use, reduce waste, helping the data center achieve green and sustainable operations.
Project Introduction
Vision Battery Solution
To meet the AIDC’s needs, Vision Battery offered a customized 800V HVDC Immersion Cooling Energy Storage & Backup Integrated Solution.

1. Integrated Backup & Energy Storage
The system supports daily energy distribution and backup power, and is compatible with 800V DC solar systems. Under normal power conditions, it can charge and discharge for revenue generation while maintaining sufficient backup capacity. If the grid fails, it seamlessly switches to backup power to ensure uninterrupted operation of the equipment.
2. Semi-Immersion Cooling
Battery cells are semi-immersed in cooling liquid, isolating heat from air and reducing failure and fire risks.
3. Weather-Resistant Outdoor Design
IP55-rated, sand- and wind-proof, with intelligent temperature control for harsh environments.
4. Space & Energy Efficiency
Fully outdoor, combined with intelligent thermal management to improve system efficiency.
