Dr. Chen Hong, Vice President of Vision Battery: Return to product thinking and win the market with the ultimate products

With nearly 30 years of experience in battery R&D and manufacturing and the concept of product-driven market, Vision HydraV Fuel Cell do not rush to follow the trend of investment for market or blindly seize the market with immature products, but are committed to creating products that "users can afford and use with confidence" and win the market with well-polished and proven products. The market will be won with well-polished and proven products.

Dr. Chen Hong said in an interview with Gaogong Hydrogen: "The real market should be the market obtained by product quality. Therefore, we are not doing too much regional 'expansion' at the moment, but focusing more on expanding our product development team and doing good product development and validation." For Vision HydraV Fuel Cell, the commitment to using the ultimate products to win orders for real application scenarios will not only enable them to walk more steadily in the current initial stage of market development, but also hopefully go further in the market-oriented competition after the demonstration period is over.

Sinopec will have a net profit of over 66.3 billion by 2022 and will have the world's largest number of hydrogen refuelling stations

On 27 March, Sinopec released its annual report for 2022. Sinopec's 2022 revenue reached 3,318,168 million yuan, up 21.06% year-on-year, and net profit attributable to shareholders of the parent company was 66,302 million.

In 2022, Sinopec continued to increase its high purity hydrogen production capacity and built a total of nine hydrogen fuel cell hydrogen supply centres. Sinopec will have the world's largest number of hydrogen refuelling stations and will actively transform into an integrated energy service provider of "oil, gas, hydrogen, electricity and services".

In 2022, Sinopec will spend RMB19.1 billion on capital expenditure in the marketing and distribution segment, mainly for the development of the "Oil, Gas, Hydrogen and Electricity Service" integrated energy refuelling station network, the renovation of the existing terminal sales network and the non-oil products business. In 2023, Sinopec will promote the construction of "oil, gas, hydrogen, electricity and services" integrated energy service providers to achieve greater breakthroughs, and actively carry out "oil conversion", "oil to special" and hydrogen energy key technology research and application development.

For the first time in China! National key R&D project of solid state hydrogen energy generation connected to the grid

On 25 March, the national key R&D project of solid hydrogen power generation was connected to the grid in Guangzhou and Kunming at the same time, which is the first time that photovoltaic power generation is made into solid hydrogen energy for the power system in China.

The seven rectangles storing hydrogen in the Guangzhou Nansha Electric Hydrogen Smart Energy Station are the solid-state hydrogen storage devices that have just been put into operation. The solid-state hydrogen storage is different from the current gaseous and liquid hydrogen storage methods. It is stored at room temperature by a chemical reaction between hydrogen and an alloy, allowing hydrogen atoms to enter the voids of the metal. The pressure of the hydrogen storage is 2-3 MPa, and the hydrogen can be released by raising the ambient temperature of the alloy.

The project is capable of storing 200 cubic metres of hydrogen. Its hydrogen storage density is so high that if it were replaced by the common 3 MPa hydrogen storage tank, the volume would have to be increased by a factor of 20, so that the stored hydrogen would have to occupy half of the storage tank of such a large site.

Hunan joins hands with Australian mining giant FMG Group to layout hydrogen energy and other industries

On March 23, the Department of Commerce of Hunan Province and the Australian mining giant FMG Group jointly signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the cooperation project of advanced green energy technology supply chain system in Changsha on March 23.

According to the agreement, both sides will take advantage of their respective strengths to carry out in-depth cooperation in the fields of green energy supply chain, green energy procurement and the construction of "two countries and two parks", and jointly promote the establishment of "China-Australia Clean Energy Industry Chain Demonstration Supply Base" in Zhuzhou City, Changde City, Hunan Province and Western Australia, Australia, respectively. "and "Western Australia-Hunan Advanced Clean Energy Equipment Supply Cluster Industrial Park".

Through the cooperation, Hunan will guide the hydrogen energy equipment enterprises outside the province to gather and develop in Hunan, and provide safe, complete, efficient and high-quality one-stop procurement and integration services for hydrogen energy equipment products for buyers including FMG Group; at the same time, encourage enterprises to go to Australia to set up a cooperation park integrating assembly, testing and maintenance of hydrogen energy equipment according to market demand and FMG orders, so as to drive the export of Hunan's hydrogen energy equipment products At the same time, it will better attract foreign-funded enterprises, including FMG Group, to come to Hunan for direct investment.

Toyota's new president Tsuneharu Sato: Hydrogen is the top priority of the carbon neutral strategy, Mirai does not set sales target

Toyota's new president Tsuneharu Sato recently said to the public that hydrogen will be the top priority of its carbon-neutral strategy, even as he doubled his focus on electric vehicles. Under his management, Sato said, the focus will be on expanding the hydrogen infrastructure and the range of industries that use the future fuel. For the Mirai, a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle, there is no very specific business target.

The Japanese government has announced a target of 200,000 fuel cell vehicles on the country's roads by 2025 and 800,000 hydrogen fuel cell vehicles by 2030. Today, Toyota said there are about 160 hydrogen refuelling stations in Japan. This is expected to climb to 320 hydrogen refuelling stations by 2025 and 900 by 2030.

The country's first underground rock cavern hydrogen storage project lands in Hubei

On March 26, the groundbreaking ceremony of the integrated hydrogen mine construction project of green electricity and green hydrogen production, storage and processing in Daye City was held. It is reported that the total investment of the project is expected to be 5.2 billion yuan, covering seven major blocks, including photovoltaic power generation, green power hydrogen production, rock cavern and underground distributed hydrogen storage, pipeline hydrogen transmission, hydrogen energy application, hydrogen energy industrial park and digital management platform. After the completion of the project, it will form a hydrogen energy whole industry chain ecology of hydrogen production, hydrogen storage, hydrogen refueling and hydrogen use, build the first hydrogen energy industrial park in Huangshi region, construct a new hydrogen energy industry of 100 billion and hydrogen mining machinery industry chain, which is of great significance to promote Daye to speed up the development from traditional industry to new energy industry.

200kW! SOEC hydrogen production plant of ASTRI was successfully started at one time

Recently, the 200kW-class high-temperature solid oxide electrolytic water (SOEC) hydrogen production verification device developed by the Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (SIAP) was successfully started up at once. This is a new breakthrough in the field of solid oxide electrolytic hydrogen production (SOEC) technology after the completion of the 20kW-SOEC plant in 2019 by Shanghai Institute of Applied Science and Technology, marking a solid step forward in SOEC hydrogen production technology from laboratory pilot test to demonstration application.
