On 19 May 2022, the launch of the Shenzhen Senergy Fuel Cell Technology Co., Ltd. W1.0 metal plate power stack was successfully held and Dr. Gani made a wonderful sharing (the following is a selection of his speech).

Hydrogen energy in the role of carbon dioxide and carbon neutral

There is now a deep global awareness of the need to protect the environment and to enable clean energy. There are many different forms of energy, and hydrogen is one of the most cost effective forms of energy storage and use.

The hydrogen energy industry has received unprecedented stimulus with the introduction of the "peak carbon, carbon neutral" target. As a country with a large population and a strong power, China is playing a leading role in using clean energy to improve the environment.

International fuel cell developments

Several countries around the world are committed to the development of the hydrogen energy sector, with 37 of them adopting hydrogen energy as a national development strategy. Europe, South Korea, the United States, China and Japan have planned goals for the development of hydrogen energy as shown below, and although the pace of development varies, they are all working in this direction. In these countries, the companies or countries with advanced teams to work together will be successful.

Regions around the world have unveiled hydrogen energy roadmaps to fuel the development of the hydrogen energy industry.

Domestic fuel cell development

The 3+2 hydrogen demonstration clusters are the existing 3 hydrogen fuel cell clusters: Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei city cluster, Shanghai city cluster and Guangdong city cluster, with the 2nd batch of fuel cell city clusters being the Henan city cluster led by Zhengzhou and the Hebei city cluster led by Zhangjiakou in Hebei.

With the development of the hydrogen energy industry, the price of domestic hydrogen fuel cell systems and power packs has been reduced year by year. The layout of hydrogen refuelling stations continues to accelerate to guarantee the steady development of the fuel cell industry. Hydrogen refuelling stations are expected to reach several hundred in 2025, which will provide us with a strong sense of security for the future development of hydrogen vehicles. The market size of China's hydrogen fuel cell industry is expected to reach 70 billion yuan by 2025.

Vision hydrogen energy industry layout

Vision Hydrogen Energy has comprehensively laid out the hydrogen energy industry chain, the first of which is membrane electrode, our holding company Wuhan Polytechnic Hydrogen Power has achieved the leading position in production and export volume at home and abroad. The second one is the electric reactor, Xiongtao Hydrogen, which has reached the leading level of volume power density at home and abroad. Then there are engine systems, to the application side, which are great challenges and opportunities for Vision Group.

From 2019 to date, Shenzhen Senergy Fuel Cell Technology Co., Ltd. has launched 390 hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, driving more than 12 million kilometres, with a total emission reduction of 22 million kilograms, equivalent to planting more than 150,000 trees. Xiongtao Hydrogen Energy has applied for 21 invention patents and 12 utility models in 2022 (135 patents in total).

Vision Hydrogen Energy has a small medium-term goal of putting a total of 2,000 fuel cell heavy trucks into service by 2025, which will reduce emissions by 240,000 tonnes per year, and 1,000 fuel cell buses by 2025, which will reduce emissions by 120,000 tonnes per year. By 2025, the total emission reduction could reach 360,000 tonnes.

Vision Hydrogen Energy will create a European R&D centre to expand the overseas market of hydrogen energy. Academician Ge was awarded the Chinese over government friendship award and presented by the Premier himself in 2018, Academician Ge as CTO will be a good bridge between Chinese and foreign countries and help Vision Group to perfect the ambitious blueprint of hydrogen energy.
