【News】China's first "West-East Hydrogen Transmission" pipeline incorporated into national planning
On April 10th, Sinopec's first demonstration project of the "West-East Hydrogen Transmission" pipeline was included in the "Implementation Plan for the Construction of "One National Network" of Oil and Gas", marking a new stage in the development of long-distance hydrogen transmission pipelines in China. The Implementation Plan for the Construction of "One National Network" for Oil and Gas was issued by the National Energy Administration in March this year, with the aim of refining and implementing the pipeline construction tasks in the medium and long-term oil and gas pipeline network plan and the five-year oil and gas development plan.
The "West-East Hydrogen Transmission" starts in Ulanqab City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and ends in Beijing. The pipeline is more than 400 kilometres long and is the first pure hydrogen transmission pipeline in China that crosses provincial and regional boundaries on a large scale and over a long distance. After the pipeline is completed, it will be used to replace the existing fossil energy sources in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei to produce hydrogen, which will greatly alleviate the problem of mismatch between supply and demand of green hydrogen in China, and will have a strategic demonstration and leading role in the construction of cross-regional hydrogen transmission pipeline network in China in the future, and help China's energy transformation and upgrading.

International] Spain's Helios Aragn plans to extract natural hydrogen at a cost of US$0.82/kg, about 1/2 the current price of grey hydrogen
Spanish company Helios Aragn says it can produce natural gas from the huge underground formations at the foot of the Pyrenees at a price of 0.75 euros (about $0.82) per kilo, which is about half the current cost of grey hydrogen produced from fossil fuels.
The natural hydrogen project was first discovered in the 1960s 3.6 kilometres below the surface in the centre of the region's Day's oil well. Natural hydrogen, also known as golden hydrogen and white hydrogen, is covered with rock to avoid the escape of hydrogen molecules.
【International】 India plans to invest US$2 billion to start hydrogen production
New Delhi, 9 April - The global future of hydrogen fuel looks brighter as India this week proposed a $2 billion subsidy plan to boost domestic hydrogen fuel development. Rystad, Norway's leading energy research and business intelligence company, expects global hydrogen pipelines to grow by 700% by 2035. Most hydrogen projects will still face an uphill battle if the infrastructure for transporting hydrogen is not increased. The Indian government is implementing a $2 billion subsidy scheme to support and incentivise green hydrogen fuel producers. As part of this scheme, parties will receive a 10% incentive on costs through a competitive bidding process.
The Indian government is expected to award approximately Rs 130 billion for the production of green hydrogen, with the rest of the financial incentive going to support the manufacture of electrolysis cells. The total cost of producing green hydrogen in India is expected to be about Rs 300 per kilogram (about US$ 3.7) and they hope to produce 3.6 million tonnes of green hydrogen over the next three years.
