【News】The third batch of demonstration projects for the integration of scenery and hydrogen production in Inner Mongolia started to declare

On November 15, the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Energy Bureau started the declaration of the third batch of demonstration projects for the integration of scenery and hydrogen production. The demonstration includes the demonstration of the integration of scenery and hydrogen production with the green low-carbon transformation as the traction and the promotion of the diversified application of hydrogen energy in the fields of industry, transportation and power generation. The demonstration projects are divided into grid-connected type and off-grid type. When declaring, the project type must be determined, and one of the grid-connected type and off-grid type must be declared, and the hydrogen application scenario must be implemented and hydrogen consumption agreement must be provided.

【Industry】Green hydrogen could be an important supplement to Europe's gas gap, promising future for China-Europe energy cooperation

On 7 November, Snam China Director and Senior Vice President Peng Ningke delivered a keynote speech entitled "Analysis of the current situation and prospects of European energy" at the "China Gas Industry Summit 2022".

Peng said that in the current spot LNG market, on the one hand, Europe is increasing its LNG receiving capacity, and on the other hand, the international gas market is also increasing its supply to Europe due to the price advantage of the European market. In addition, the Groningen field in the Netherlands is also an important source of increased gas supply from Europe itself, although there is still sufficient recoverable gas in this field and it remains unclear whether the increase in production from this largest European gas field will be implemented due to environmental risks. It remains to be seen how this gap will be filled by 2025 when, despite increased LNG supply capacity on the spot market, Europe will still have a demand for Russian gas of around 50 billion cubic metres.

In his view, a change in the flow of resources in the gas market could bring about a change in the demand for gas pipelines, and Snam believes that the long distance transportation of green hydrogen, which could be an important addition to the gap in the European gas market, will not happen overnight and will still require significant investment.

【Industry】 China's Tianzhou V spacecraft launched and will carry out fuel cell space experiments

On November 12, the Long March 7 remote six carrier rocket carrying the Tianzhou V cargo spacecraft was launched on time at 10:03 a.m. on November 12 at China's Wenchang Space Launch Complex. About 10 minutes later, the ship and arrow successfully separated and entered the scheduled orbit, and the spacecraft's solar sail panels successfully unfolded their work, making the launch a complete success.

It is understood that the launch of the Tianzhou V cargo spacecraft loaded with Shenzhou 15 three astronauts six months of in-orbit stationing consumables, propellants, application of practical (test) devices and other materials, but also carried a "Macau students science satellite one", hydrogen and oxygen fuel cells for astronautics, space broad-spectrum high-energy particle detection payload and other experimental projects. These payloads will carry out scientific experiments in a weightless environment in space and validate some key cutting-edge space technologies.

【Industry】Popularize 30,000 hydrogen vehicles! South Korea announces hydrogen economy development strategy

The South Korean government has announced its hydrogen economy development strategy and plans to popularize 30,000 hydrogen-powered commercial vehicles by 2030, according to a report by Radio Korea International on November 10.

The government plans to achieve the goal of universal access to 30,000 hydrogen commercial vehicles by 2030. To this end, it will expand subsidies for the purchase of hydrogen-powered buses and trucks, extend purchase tax and toll exemptions, and other measures to create demand for hydrogen energy. The government will also build infrastructure such as the world's largest liquefied hydrogen plant with an annual production capacity of 40,000 tonnes and an ammonia import terminal with an annual import capacity of 4 million tonnes. To nurture the hydrogen energy industry, the government will designate seven areas to support companies' technological research and development, while easing restrictions on areas where safety standards do not yet exist through a regulatory sandbox.
